Are quotes free?

Yes, they are. We're happy to do quotes for free because, quite frankly, we've found that's the best way to get work.

Do you split the labour and material amounts on the quote?

We don’t unless we’re asked to, in which case, of course we can.

When can you start?

Once we have the job form in our hands and have established that a particular day and time is available, then it's a firm date.

Do you do weekend appointments?

We don't. However, we do offer 7.30am slots from Monday to Friday for maintenance work.

Do you employ sub-contractors?

Yes, we use outside people we know well and trust during especially busy periods or when we need a specific outside skill for a job.

What is your Warranty period?

Our work and materials normally carry one year’s warranty. However, in the case of boilers, we can give you up 5 years (depending on what the individual Manufacturer is offering.)

How long has Urban Solutions been trading?

How big is your company?

There are about 20 of us and we are a family business operating in North West London for over 10 years

Can you work cheaper for cash with no invoice?

No, we’re pretty fussy about keeping everything above board moneywise. So cash does NOT work for us!

Can I pay you by cheque on the day?

Yes, we accept cheques, cash (with invoice) and all major credit cards. We'll ask for card details once you've given us the go-ahead to start a job. That way you can settle up the balance later, though all maintenance jobs must be paid for in full once the work's been completed.

Do you give set prices for carrying out repairs?

To begin with, we charge hourly rates which you can see here. That’s because it takes up an engineer’s time to find out what’s wrong. But once we know how much it will cost to fix, we can give you a set quote.

Is parking included in your rates?

Of course it is. Parking charges are our problem, not yours.
